Astrology and the Role of Destiny

People often perceive Astrology as a gateway into the future. They believe getting horoscope and astrology prediction would tell them about all the events that are pre-determined in their destiny. But this is not how it works. Astrology cannot predict everything just so accurately as you would have imagined. In fact, nothing could ever come close to predicting the future.

For most of us, the understanding of the universe and human life is deep-rooted in a perspective based on time frame. While in reality, it comprises a lot of other concepts like Karma. So to "understand the connection between destiny and Astrology", we need a viable practical viewpoint.

The synchronicity between Astrology and destiny has always been an unanswered question. While we try to tear the mask off nature to seek the truth, some supreme and indestructible cosmic force continues to control our thoughts and experiences. Maybe this is how nature works. But there has to be a valid explanation as to how these two are connected.

The answer lies in a very basic understanding of Astrology and the associated psychological concepts. You see, at the center of it all lies a tacit idea of cause and effect, or may be referred to as causality which clearly states that one’s personality is a reflection of surrounding culture, past experiences, and upbringing. Of course, by assuming planetary movements have minimal influence over it. Now, for Astrology, it’s all in the birth chart. In simple words, your experiences and surroundings - mentioned above, are dependent on ever so changing planetary bodies. So one can say what determines your personality is actually pre-determined. It’s not a wordplay but a simple explanation about the correlation between fate and Astrology.

Because one’s personality and life experiences combine to form a sort of symbiotic pair, a significant and revealing conclusion can be drawn from this point that character and fate go hand in hand, and neither aspect dominates. Philosophers often consider it as the combination of nature and nurture.

It’s simple - "planets control environment, environment influences character, and character drive life". Thus, a greater emphasis on character is indeed necessary. This formulation has stayed consistent for years and it still inspires people to bring changes into their own personal self in order to manifest the big change they wish to see in their surroundings. It has been said, “ we don’t see things as they are, we see things as we are,” one can understand the point.

Astrology has been around for centuries, and it has not only bared the test of time but has stood resolute through skittling acquisitions of cynics from all around the world. It’s the best way to get all your questions answered regarding life and beyond!
